Fire Evacuation Plans & Floor Plans In Ireland

Some additional services that I offer alongside residential photography and video are fire evacuation plans and floor plans. Fire evacuation plans became a regulation for landlords back in 2019 in Ireland. The Standards for Rented House regulations were updated at this time. It became the responsibility of the landlord of any rented apartment to provide a property evacuation plan, showing a clear means of how to exit the building in case of an emergency.

Landlord Responsibilities

Landlords are now responsible for ensuring the plan is permanently placed inside the front door of the apartment building. I will provide a floor plan that includes necessary fire evacuation information as well as what to do in the event of a fire. As a landlord you are now required to ensure a well positioned, working smoke detector and heat alarms are in place, as well as a fire blanket that needs to be secured to the wall in the kitchen.

Options for Fire Plans

There are several ways in which we can go about obtaining a fire evacuation plan for your property. The customer can send the current floors plans or a specific drawing (hand drawn if needed) of the property layout. This can include (or not include ) measurements. Alternatively, I can visit the property and measure accurately the rooms/layout. I would return a digital plan to you in 3 working days.

Regarding the requirements for the fire evacuation plan itself, there are several items that must be included. Please see the handy little checklist below. Follow the guidelines and make sure all items are marked on your drawing. It is very important to ensure the exit routes are correct.

If you require a property visit, I will map out the building and the fire evacuation route while on site. The locations of all the items on the checklist will be marked. You will receive a digital A4 copy of the plans for the apartment. This can either be laminated and framed and placed on the back of the door. If you do provide a hand drawn sketch, it would need to be accurate in terms of the listed items. Please see the example below.

Pricing for a Fire evacuation plan very much depends on whether you require a visit, the size of your property and its location within Ireland. For a quick turn around based on a hand drawn sketch, the plans would cost between €120 -€160 (incl VAT) per plan. For a site visit and plan re-draw prices start in Dublin North at €200 (incl VAT). Floor Plans

When it comes to selling a house in Ireland, floor plans have emerged as a crucial tool that can significantly influence the success of the sale. A floor plan is a visual representation of a property’s layout, showcasing the arrangement of rooms, dimensions, and spatial relationships. In a competitive real estate market like Ireland’s, having a well-designed and accurate floor plan can make a substantial difference in attracting potential buyers and expediting the selling process.

With a meticulous attention to detail, I will deliver the most accurate and visually appealing floor plans that will set your property apart in the listings. I provide floor plans based on actual measurements or hand drawn estimates based on clients needs. You will be provided with a professionally laid out plan, including furnishings. Prices start at €120 (incl VAT) for a visit to a North Dublin property. These can increase based on location, rooms and floors required. If you would like a floor plan based on a hand drawn estimate, pricing then starts at €60.00 (incl VAT)

Payments for floor plans are required to be made before the work begins. I will cover anything in the Dublin or surrounding areas or digitally I will cover any plans in Ireland. I look forward to working with you! For more information please contact me here.
